DELAIRE

THIS IS A SECONDARY CHARACTER.

Dee, the self-proclaimed leader of KUTTHROAT, walks like he has the world on his shoulders but grins like he has it all figured out. At sixteen, he’s barely older than his twin brother, Reek, by minutes but he wears those minutes like stripes. Tall, wiry, and always in motion, Dee has the kind of energy that fills a room—fast-talking, always scheming, and never still. His street persona is loud, reckless, and a little too convincing, but underneath, he’s just a kid trying to carve a path out of nothing.

Dee and Reek grew up in a cramped, chaotic house of eight, their single mother holding it together with duct tape and prayers. But Dee was always in the streets, defiant, disrespectful, and unbothered by consequences—at least, that’s how it looked. In reality, he hated the feeling of being just another mouth to feed. His need to be somebody pushed him further outside, further into the streets, further away from home. Eventually, their mama had enough. She threw both of them out, exhausted from fighting battles for two boys who refused to listen.

Dee and Reek move like a unit, but their differences are clear. Dee is all bravado, leading the charge even when he doesn’t have a plan. Reek is the one glancing over his shoulder, trying to make sure they ain't about to crash and burn. They cover for each other and joke around like nothing phases them, but deep down, they’re just two kids trying to survive. KUTTHROAT is their shield, their performance piece. But around Auntie Bev, the act starts to slip, and little by little, they realize they might have more options than just the streets.

They truly aren’t bad kids. They just never had the space to be good.

Voice Style: Fast-talking, slightly raspy, and confident. Think of a mix of a young hustler and a class clown.
